I had originally played the mandolin on The Battle of Evermore, and on Page and Plant UnLedded we were going to do it with Najma Akhtar (taking over the Sandy Denny role), so it seemed sensible to have a triple neck made to simplify instrument changes, six-string, 12-string and mandolin.
